This is a little box that plugs into your power system. One hooks up to your router, and the others you scatter through your wiring. I have bought a total of 4 of these -- costing me about $200 all together (through amazon). These are simple and amazing little gadgets. They are far faster than my Trendnet 1700 wi-fi router, and more importantly, they don't lose connections every day or two. Through-put is similar to hard-wire. You can easily plug in another device on top of it, so you don't lose an outlet. There is no interface to deal with.
After using this device for a month, I realize that it drops off line. One then has to search around to find the reset button on several devices. This is a bad idea. Don't waste your money.
